1. What is a home stay?
This has become a popular part of the U.K. Elite Soccer Camp program. We give families the opportunity to host one (or more) of our coaches for the duration of the camp week. The families and coaches enjoy the cultural exchange experience and the friendships that develop. Many of these friendships can last a lifetime. As a way of saying "thank you", U.K. Elite will refund your camp tuition (or an amount equivalent to a 3 hour camp in your region) once the camp week has finished.

2. What is expected of a host family?
We ask that you provide the coaches with a bed, showering facilities, use of laundry facilities, and meals (this may mean breakfast, lunch, and dinner depending on the hours of the camp). Of course, many of our host families enjoy arranging activities for the family to participate in with ourcoach(es), and while this is appreciated and enjoyed by our coaches it iscertainly not required.

3. How long will the coach stay with us?
The coaches will typically arrive on the Sunday evening prior to the start of camp. We ask that you meet them at the fields where the camp is to take place at 8 pm Sunday evening. Unless otherwise notified, the coach(es) will stay with you untilthe following Sunday morning.

4. Do I need to provide transportation?
No, the coaches will be provided with their own transportation and will arrange drop off and pick-up among themselves. Please understand that U.K. Elite's auto insurance policy does not cover our coaches when driving hostfamily vehicles, nor does it cover transportation of campers or other family members in U.K. Elite's vehicles at any time.

5. Can I find out about my coach prior to their arrival?
When you apply to be a host family, you may indicate preferences such as gender, However the assignment of individual coaches to particular camps is not done until the week prior to the start of camp. This is due to not having a final count of campers, and thus coaches required until that time. We will not be able to let you know until then whether or not you will be having a coach stay with you. This is also the reason we require you to register first (so we have an accurate count of campers) and then receive a refund if you are chosen. During that week prior to camp, you will be contacted by our staff to be told whether you are goingto be a host family, and if so, you willbe given the information about coach(es) that will be staying with you.

6. Do we have to do anything special once they are here?
On camp days, the coaches will obviously be very busy on the field. They may also be scheduled to work at an additional camp that week. If you wish to arrange social activities with your family that is much appreciated, but by no means is it required or expected. Please do not make any special plans until you have conferred with the coaches about their work schedule.

7. Will the coach be using my phone or computer?
Our staff should not be making long distance calls from your home and will use a personal phone card for any long distance calls they will need to make. If you could allow our staff to use your computer to access their personal email, that would be great as they receive most of their information about their schedule and travel arrangements from our office via email. However, pleasefeel free to limit the use of this time to whenitis most convenient for your family.

8. What happens if a coach gets sick while staying at my house?
Our staff will all have medical insurance coverage - under NO circumstances should you have to pay for any medical attention your coach may need. If the local doctor does not recognize the medical insurance company name the coach will have a toll free number where the doctor's office can call to confirm coverage.

12. How can we ensure this will be a successful week?
We suggest you discuss house rules or routines with the coaches as early as possible, e.g. if you would like them to be in at a certain time in the evening, meal times/access to food, use of laundry facilities and/or computer, and your expectations of them during the week. This will help avoid confusion and put everyone at ease.
