Success Starts here…pre season training.

July 28, 2010

Right now the most dedicated soccer players from all levels and ages are on the pitch getting ready for the fall season…

The worst thing you can do during the summer is nothing – especially if you have worked hard to build up your technique strength and fitness levels over the spring season.

Players need to shake off the rust and Get Ready To Play!

The sooner a soccer player can sharpen their technique, work his / her feet back up to speed and raise his / her fitness level to match standards, the sooner he / she can do what he / she goes to practice for in the first place; improve as a player and look forward to playing in competitive games!

Pre Season training helps every player accomplish those objectives. Physical fitness and technical ability are all hugely improved during a preseason soccer training program. Physical fitness and touch on the ball can regress during the off season.

Endurance training improves physical fitness while daily practice helps familiarize a soccer player with touch on the ball again.

The risk of injury can also be minimized by progressively strengthening core muscles and adapting the body for the physical demands of a soccer game.

SO COACHES & PLAYERS ARE YOU READY TO PLAY!

Are your fields and coaches ready for the season!

July 28, 2010

Field preparation and safety is an important part of pre season  for soccer clubs and coaches. A little bit of extra effort can have a big impact of the enthusiasm and of players but more importantly the safety of players.

Some quick points to consider…

  • Goal Safety, ensure goals are anchored and securely constructed
  • New Goals, are the the right size for the field dimensions
  • Nets, make sure they are not torn and attached to the goal properly
  • Corner flags, check they are up to code and not cracked likely to shatter
  • Benches and shelters, players always appreciate comfort during games and breaks
  • Training equipment, extra resources such as target goals, cones and pinnies to help organize sessions
  • Field markings, stock up on that paint and check your lining equipment.
